Dr. Tive Egbonoje is a board-certified family physician with experience across the full spectrum of primary care. He is known for his kind and empathetic approach, which fosters a welcoming, patient-centred environment.
He brings a wealth of international experience to his work at Country Plaza Medical Centre. Dr. Egbonoje earned his medical degree with distinction in Pharmacology from the University of Benin, Nigeria, and completed his specialist training in Family Medicine in the United Kingdom.
After relocating to Canada, he practised in British Columbia before settling in Alberta. His care philosophy is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practice, and individualized care. In addition to his broad expertise in family medicine, Dr. Egbonoje has advanced training and experience in dermatology, aesthetic medicine, women’s health, care of the elderly, and public health.

We do not routinely offer telephone or virtual appointments.
Most visits are conducted in person to ensure thorough assessment and high-quality care. In limited cases, a phone consultation may be provided at the physician’s discretion when clinically appropriate.

Yes. These services are not covered by AHCIP and are billed privately. We will inform you of any fees before the service is provided.
Your personal health information is handled in accordance with the Health Information Act (HIA). We maintain strict confidentiality, secure storage, and limited access to authorized staff only. Country Plaza Medical Centre is a safe, respectful, and zero-tolerance environment for all patients and staff.
Yes. We can bill most reciprocal provincial health plans (except Quebec). If you do not have valid provincial coverage, private visit fees will apply.
